24 Comae Berenicis

24 Comae Berenicis is a very fine binary with colour contrast, an orange primary and emerald component, 5.2 and 6.5 magnitudes respectively.

The position angle of the component is 271, the separation 20.3", perhaps a little too close for all but the largest binoculars.

From alpha Com sweep due west two fields of view: binoculars.

In the same field are a half-dozen Messier objects, all spiral galaxies and all too faint for binoculars.
