A Study Into God's Commandments
"And GOD SPAKE ALL THESE WORDS,
saying, I AM the LORD thy God..."  (Exodus 20:1-17)

1.  Thou shalt have NO OTHER GODS before me.
2.  Thou shalt not make unto thee ANY GRAVEN IMAGE,
            or any likeness of ANYTHING.
3.  Thou shalt not take the NAME of the Lord thy God IN VAIN.
4.  Remember the SABBATH day, to keep it HOLY.

5.  HONOUR thy father and thy mother.
6.  Thou shalt not KILL.
7.  Thou shalt not commit ADULTERY.
8.  Thou shalt not STEAL.
9.  Thou shalt not bear FALSE WITNESS against thy neighbour.
10. Thou shalt NOT COVET thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet
thy neighbour's wife, nor ANYTHING that is thy neighbour's.

So you say you don't break any of these?!  I see...

How about #3?  Or #8?!  Or maybe even #9??  Hmmm...

I know I do. I try not to, but I do. Look at what Paul said about HIMSELF, and the law:

"For we know that the law is spiritual: but I AM CARNAL, SOLD UNDER SIN. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I... For I know that IN ME DWELLETH NO GOOD THING: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do."
(Romans 7:14-19, 24)

"O wretched man that I am!
WHO SHALL DELIVER ME from the body of this death?"

Oh, that's easy... Jesus!      Click HERE if you don't believe that Jesus is Messiah.

"For since BY man came DEATH, BY man came also the RESURRECTION of the dead. For as IN Adam all DIE, even so IN CHRIST shall all be made ALIVE."  (1st Corinthians 15:21-22)

Paul continues to say about the law, and Christ:

"Knowing that a man is NOT justified BY the WORKS of the law,
but BY the faith of Jesus Christ..."  (Galatians 2:16)

Also remember what God, the Father, says about His laws, and His word in general:

Ye shall walk in ALL the ways which the Lord your God hath COMMANDED you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

And these words, which I COMMAND THEE this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt TEACH THEM DILIGENTLY unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

That would be pretty much... ALL THE TIME, right?

"And ye shall BE HOLY MEN UNTO ME..."  (Exodus 22:31)
