M 68 (NGC 4590)

M68 is a splendid globular cluster of over a hundred thousand stars, resolved in medium sized telescopes.

The cluster is 3.5º south-southeast of beta Corvi: binoculars.
To find beta Corvi (and M68) draw a line from beta Hydrae to Spica (alpha Virginis). Half-way along this line is beta Corvi.
